Best Note-Taking App Story

I’ve been using an iPad the past three years of college and with graduation approaching, I want to share my favorite and most helpful app to have as a student.

….drum roll…. GoodNotes

GoodNotes has hands down been the most helpful application to my success as a student.

Reasons to download GoodNotes:

Search for Hand Written Notes:
Probably one of my favorite features is that I can search for my notes. This is super helpful when it comes to quickly finding something you wrote a while ago, and makes studying more productive so you don’t waste time flipping through pages.

Organization:
GoodNotes allows you to create Folders to organize your notebooks and files, and get can even create folders within folders.

Import and Export Documents:
Another reason I love GoodNotes for school is because I can easily import and export documents directly into a folder, notebook, or as a new file. Additionally, GoodNotes allows you to export just selected pages, or the entire notebook all at once.

Export Documents or just Selected Pages

There are also options to export your documents in different formats and you can chose whether you want the page background exported or not.

Other features I love Include:
The abilities to easily copy, paste, and minimize/maximize your notes. This is super helpful when you need to make more room on the page, or duplicate a diagram you’ve already drawn to show the next stage of a process.

Additionally, I love that you can easy add images to you notebooks and draw on them. I used this a lot in classes where I didn’t have time to re-draw the entire image, but wanted to make sure I got good notes about what the professor was saying.

And of course, there’s all the pens, highlighters, shapes, and color features that make my notes easy and fun to read. I like having pens of different thicknesses so I can emphasize headers. I also really love the highlighting tool for studying.

GoodNotes does cost $8.99, but, I want everyone to know that I typically don’t purchase paid apps in the App Store. In fact, this is probably the only paid app I have on my iPad, and I promise the one-time purchase is more than worth it.

Before I had this app, I was always wasting time trying to locate my notes and keep everything organized, but I love GoodNotes because it does those things for me.

If you’re tying to find a good note taking app, I would highly recommend GoodNotes!
